Being Who We Are Meant to Be

Being who we are meant to be, paths of changeAfter a long time, an agent in London expressed interest in representing me. I can say from all the solitude, self-doubt, re-writes, and happiness to have completed The Last Merry Go Round two years ago—I’m numb.

While I know there is much to anticipate over the next months, and to contain apprehension and anxiety, I’ve already begun working on my next novel. Lessons learned and carved into my brain about the journey of a writer aren’t taken lightly. I thank so many who have rooted for me.

This mediation I saw a while ago says all I feel~~~~

Often as we are being transformed, we cannot tell what is happening. While struggling with the paths of change, it is often impossible to see the new self we are becoming. While feeling our hand pried loose by experience, we seldom can imagine what will fill it once it is opened.

Cheryl, your post and meditation quote struck a cord with me. I feel that I am being transformed but have no idea by whom or by what, nor any sense of what I will be when this struggle with change is over. Will it ever?
